Question : What I love most about being a mom?

If I were to write everything I love about being a mom, I’d probably run out of space to write on, really. But if there’s anything that strikes me most at this particular point in my life, it would be the fact that being a mom rewards me with one thing I can’t get anywhere else, and that is IMMORTALITY. Happiness, although most fulfilling as a mom, can also be felt elsewhere. But the power that motherhood gives me is so great that it can create generations of my variations, though only in part and not full. It is in being a mother that I am able to extend my life if only to populate my children and their children’s children with part of my genes. In that simple way, I continue to live and yes, become somewhat immortal. And that, my dear, is awesome. I become a part of my child in the same way my child becomes a part of me. It is in this cycle of taking part in another person’s life that makes mother and child relationships far higher than any other human relationships. It is a bonding that lasts for ages. It is one of the best, if not the best part of being a mother/parent. But hey, it’s Father’s Day come June 15, so I think I should busy myself with a “father” article now. After all, if there was no father, there would be no child, and therefore — no mother. :)
