Year 2007 — it was all about the environment.

This year — 2008 — it’s time to talk about POVERTY.

Blog Action Day 2008 Poverty from Blog Action Day on Vimeo.

Coming from an impoverished country of 90 million people, living with highly-talented, young and promising citizens, I urge you all, people of the web — the so-called “netizens” to join “hands” with me and the rest of the blogging community to “change the conversation“. Let’s make “poverty” the talk of the town, the issue of the day, the buzz online and offline — let’s make people talk about something that is very urgent and equally important.

Friends, on October 15, 2008 — a Wednesday, let it be our first order of the day to blog about POVERTY. Discuss it in your own point of view, in your own style and in your own tone. The languages may be different, the style and approaches may vary, but the message will be  loud and clear. We will send  a message of concern, a message of hope, a message of awareness and a message of action — that we want to eradicate poverty in the world — once and for all.

Join us. Let’s change the conversation. Let’s talk about POVERTY.

It’s time to speak up, folks. The world is listening.

OCTOBER 15, 2008 is BLOG ACTION DAY. BE PART OF IT.
