** The following post has been inspired by a commenter by the name of Lloyd, a soliloquist blogger from Davao. Thank you for your comment Lloyd. This post is my response to the question he raised in my post "So This Is How It Feels Like: Page Rank 3". I hope he finds this useful. **
Hi there! If you got to this post through a search in Google, please let me know by leaving your comments at the end of this post. I would appreciate it if you can tell me what keywords you typed as well. God knows I'm dying to hear that. And I'd faint instantly if I ever even see five, yes five comments confirming that. You see, more than anything known to me, I think this blog is more an experiment than an outlet of personal thoughts, opinions, reviews and frustrations. Of course, I'd like to believe that all I care about in terms of this blog is all the fun I get in telling "mini-stories" of my experiences that most likely don't matter to a lot of people (heck, maybe even to me..lol) but subconsciously, I feel that I also blog to test myself and see if "an old dog really is incapable of learning new tricks". For those of you still clueless as to Continue reading →
I honestly didn't think I'd figure out what exactly went wrong with my WordPress-powered blog that made this already invisible blogmore invisible than it already is. As I've written in this post and in this post, the recent upgrade to WordPress 2.6 caused my blog to go down, down, down for at least three (3) days. The frequent "script-tinker" and "never-seem-to-be-content" person that I am had me thinking that it was my messing with the redirection script for mofuse.com that created a mobile-friendly version of my blog for those readers accessing via their mobile phones (as if there are any..*sigh*), has caused this problem. And for a while there, I actually told myself that I wouldn't mess with scripts anymore (at least for this blog). As I've lost hope in ever identifying the root cause of this "blank screen of death" as another blogger puts it, I've abandoned all interests to continue researching online or elsewhere. But as fate would have it, maybe reinstallation wasn't bad after all. Maybe it's what I really needed -- a fresh start, so I can see things clearer. Continue reading →
Weight loss and diet tips are all over the internet. Diet fads come and go. Sometimes they work, sometimes (oftentimes actually), they don't. In this podcast, I share with you what made me lose my stubborn extra pounds and how I keep them off. A warning though, I'm not a doctor, dietitian, or an expert in any medical field. Follow at your own risk. This may or may not work for you. I am posting it as a tip to other people who may want to give it a try. As for me, it's working fine.
This must be my lucky day. Well, I guess not really that lucky but few people I suppose would come across something as surprising as this. You see, I have Google's PR button installed on my browser courtesy of course of the Google Toolbar. It's very helpful for surfing because I can immediately tell the site's/page's relevance, at least in Google's point of view. I'm new to blogging and web site maintenance, so SEO and PR, although known to me, aren't the kind of stuff I spend time poring over..at least, not these past few weeks. As we all know, high PR is like a webmaster's/blogger's nirvana. So, imagine my surprise when after loading my first blog At A Loss for Words: Writings Of A Blogger Wannabe, I happen to have noticed something weird. PR7? On my blog??? what the? :) Continue reading →
This site is offsetting all electricity use with wind-generated Renewable Energy Certificates which prevent the release of 2,660 metric tons of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere each year. That’s equivalent to planting nearly 2,390 acres of trees, or removing 510 cars from the road.
